Banco Internacional de Costa Rica, S. A. – Miami Agency (“ BICSA Miami”) was established in 1983 as an Agency of Banco Internacional de Costa Rica, S. A. Panama (“ BICSA Panama”). BICSA’s shareholders are Banco de Costa Rica with 51% and Banco Nacional de Costa Rica with 49% of the shares. They provide important support to BICSA’s operation and their assets total more than US$4.0 billion. BICSA Miami operates in Florida under an international banking license granted by the State of Florida and The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Therefore, the bank is subject to the regulations of State and Federal Agencies.
BICSA Miami provides banking services to individuals and corporations. The bank also offers a wide range of investment and deposit services to its personal banking customers. BICSA Miami started operations in 1983 with the purpose of financing trade between Central America and the United States of America.
