Fernando José Víquez Salazar

President Director

Master of Business Administration from the National University, San Diego, California, United States. He is President and owner operator of Hotel Pumilio S.A.; he was General Manager of Soluciones de Pago MB S.A.; General Manager of Banco de Soluciones BANSOL; Deputy General Manager of Banco de Costa Rica; Director of products and marketing of Scotibank de Costa Rica; held positions of Director of Personal Banking – Credit and Collection Manager – Credit Card Manager of Banco Interfin; was Financial Manager of Banco Banex.

He is currently President of the General Board of Directors of Banco de Costa Rica, Member of the Board of Directors of Operadora de Planes de Pensiones Complementarias S.A., of the BCR and Member of the Board of Directors BCR Valores Puesto de Bolsa, S.A.

Marvin Arias Aguilar

First Vice-President

Bachelor of Business Administration. He has been a Member of the Board of Directors of Banco Popular and of Desarrollo Comunal, President of the Board of Directors of Popular Fondo de Inversión, SAFI and has participated in Commissions and Committees of the same bank. He worked 36 years at the National Bank, an institution in which he held various positions, standing out as Auditor General, the last position held in the entity. In addition, he was Deputy General Manager, General Accountant, Head of Banking Marketing and Financial Analyst in the Credit Department. He has been characterized by achieving the professionalization and technical training of Audit staff, as well as promote the greater growth of the productive asset in the credit portfolio as a base on the strength of the patrimonial adequacy.

He is currently President of the General Board of Directors of the National Bank of Costa Rica, and Director at CORBANA.

Mahity Flores Flores

Second Vice-President

Graduated in Public Accounting, she worked for more than 12 years in different positions in Correos de Costa Rica, being her last position as Administration and Finance Manager.

She is currently Director of the General Board of Directors of Banco de Costa Rica; President of Sociedad Administradora de Fondos de Inversión S.A.; also, Director of BCR Corredora de Seguros S.A.

Néstor Solís Bonilla

Director – Secretary

Lawyer and notary. Bachelor of Business Administration with emphasis in Finance from UCR. He has held executive positions in the Costa Rican financial sector in different agro-industrial corporations and in the hotel activity.

He is currently Director of the General Board of Directors Banco de Costa Rica, President of the Board of Directors BCR Pensiones, Member of the Board of Directors BCR Valores Puesto de Bolsa, S.A.

José Manuel Arias Porras

Director – Treasurer

Economist and Master in Business Administration from the INCAE Business School, with extensive experience in financial companies. He has held various financial positions in pensions, regulatory compliance, trusts, among others. Likewise, he served as General Manager of BAC San José Pensiones OPPC, S.A and as Compliance Officer of the BAC-Credomatic Group. Also, in 1988 he held the Head of Credit Cards at the National Bank of Costa Rica, leading the team that launched this product to the market. He held the Head of Financial Analysis at the National Bank of Costa Rica. He is recognized for his career in teaching at the University of Costa Rica, in the careers of Economics, Business Administration, he has also taught courses in the master’s degrees of “Banking and Capital Markets and Business Economics” and “Business Management”.

He is currently a Member of the General Board of Directors of the National Bank of Costa Rica; Member of the Board of Directors of BN Vital OPC S.A. He is also a Member of the Board of Directors of BN Valores Puesto de Bolsa S.A.

Lidia Marjorie Jiménez Varela

Independent Director

Degree in Economics and Master in Economics, Banking and Capital Markets. She has taken courses in banking and finance and has extensive experience in these subjects. She worked for public banks and regulatory entities inside and outside the country.

She is currently Director of the Board of Directors of BCR Operadora de Pensiones Complementarias and of the Board of Directors of Corredora de Seguros (subsidiary of Banco de Costa Rica).

Maricela Alpízar Chacón

Independent Director

Degree in Law and Notary Public from the University of Costa Rica, graduated from a Master’s Degree in Labor Law and Social Security from the UNED. She has a postgraduate specialization in Commercial Companies from the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain; studies in Human Resources Administration from the UCR and Specialization in Taxes from the TEC. She has extensive experience in notarial law, comprehensive advice on foreign investment, corporate, immigration, labor, banking, corporate and new investment law. She is a founding partner of ACS FIRMA DE ABOGADOS, a law firm in which she practices her profession liberally.

She is currently a Member of the General Board of Directors of the National Bank of Costa Rica; Member of the Board of Directors of BNCR Sociedad Administradora de Fondos de Inversión (BNCR SAFI). She is also a Member of the Board of Directors of BN Corredora de Seguros S.A.
